"Dear GLYCINE-Team
Just surfing in the internet this afternoon, I’ve run across your home page, and absolutely could not resist contacting and telling you about this great watch!
...
I was in the US Air Force and was stationed in Frankfurt am Main from 1964 to 1967. Shortly after my arrival in April ’64 I saw the most beautiful and practical wristwatch that a 24 year old 1st Lt navigator in the USAF could dream of, self winding, 1-24 hour dial stationary (for the Greenwich = zulu time) and an Outer 24 hour movable dial ( for the local time), in a jewelry shop in downtown Frankfurt. I bought it, and have, to this day, never regretted this purchase. My Glycine Airman has accompanied through over 8.000 hours in the air, at altitudes up to 50,000 feet (appox. 15,000 Meters) and all around the Globe. I have never, repeat NEVER, had a problem with this excellent, super, fantastic, . . . . . (I’ve run out of superlatives) timepiece. To this very minute, even though it’s almost 50 years old (well OK, only 47 ½) it’s performing its job just fantastically. The only time it has ever been to a watchmaker is to have it thoroughly cleaned. And that imbecile lost set screw as well as the stopper for the movable dial. Having retired from the Air Force many years ago I’ve still kept this watch on my wrist. Oh, I’ll admit, I’ve gone through about 10 watchbands with it, but still use the original watch.
My congratulations for an absolute MASTER PIECE!
