At the Basel World fair in late march, Ventura will open a new chapter in its over 20 year history with the launch of a totally unique watch collection and concept: The SPARC MGS.
Recognized as the creator of the worlds first ever automatic digital watch and many other innovative watch technologies, Ventura will enter unchartered territories by presenting a high-end automatic digital watch with a constantly visible, reversed micro-generator system, called MGS®.
Developed, designed and produced in Switzerland under the direction of Ventura founder Pierre Nobs, the new SPARC MGS will be the first exclusively «automatic» driven, fully-fledged multifunction digital watch.
The owner’s wrist movements cause an oscillating mass to turn approximately 4’000 times per day on average. Through a set of gears, this energy tensions a spring, which releases its forces up to 17’000 times per day to a micro generator. The resulting «sparks» (SPARC®) of energy are transmitted to an accumulator for storage, alimenting the electronic module with electric energy. This energy is sufficient to support the powerful new version 2.0 of Ventura’s EasySkroll® operating system with its full range of highly intuitive operating multifunctions.
