¿Se llevan los remakes de los set enteros?

Ue En estos meses, hemos tenido noticia de reediciones de tres relojes setenteros con nuevo look. Por un lado, el Longines heritage cronógrafo Diver (se puede conseguir por unos 1800 euros con descuento), el nuevo Bulova Accutron II Snorkel (por unos 400 euros aunque difícil de conseguir porque inexplicablemente no tiene agente en España); y el Hamilton Paneurope (sobre 800 euros). Espero ávido vuestros acertados contrarios y preferencias. Por mi parte, tengo encargado el Bulova. Ya daré cuenta.

Pues casi que sí. Me has tocado la fibra sensible. De los tres que has puesto me gustan todos, pero especialmente el longines, tanto el cronógrafo como el diver normal. Aunque el Bulova por ese precio es para pensárselo. Por cierto, se lo has encargado a alguien o a través de una web?

Ufff me has dado en uno de mis puntos débiles. Todos los que se han puesto me encantan. Un aporte de gama asequible podría ser el seiko bullhead (aunque sea cuarzo)

Vaya bellezas habéis puesto. A mi la estética setentera en relojes me gusta mucho. Los Rado antiguos por ejemplo me tienen prendado. Bueno, los modernos pero manteniendo la forma de la caja.

Entre los que pones, me gusta mas el Hamilton, a mi me frena un poco su tamaño un poco grande.

What Says The Snob To Vintage Watch Reboots?
Dear Watch Snob,Today is a fine day. There are a multitude of fantastic watches to be discovered and won. But how do today's masterpieces match up with their counterparts from the good ol' days?
With so many watches that have a significant past, such as the Omega Speedmaster moon watch, is it wise to purchase the newest years model or to wait and seek out vintage. You are always saying that there are no good watches between $1,000 and $3,000. But does this guideline apply to vintage watches as well, or would buying a 1960's JLC memovex in that range be a worthwhile investment? I am also wondering what you think about companies rebooting classics. For example, Longines came out with a Silver Arrow not too long ago. Many people think this new piece is as good if not better than the original. Would you get caught wearing the reboot or go for the vintage?


I have very, very, very little use for so-called "reboots" of so-called "classics." There are several reasons for this; allow me to inflict them on you. First of all, many of the classics in question were not especially interesting in and of themselves when they weren't classics but were merely decent watches expected to do a day's work without expecting the Order Of Merit Of The Empire For Excellence In Horological Design to boot. Second, most so-called reboots are merely attempts to make a profit — as much as possible — on the poverty of imagination of the rebooting company's design department, which lacks the nerve, daring or support of the marketing department — or all three — for the undertaking of making something interesting in a modern horological idiom. In short, they are generally a way of taking intellectual and creative laziness and trying to make money from it (which is, of course, a time-honoured way of making money).
The Omega Speedmaster and some other classic models are not reboots but rather watches that have simply been in continuous production for some decades (the Reverso is another such watch). In these cases, whether vintage or new is3 better — well, it's really down to personal preference. Of course it is also possible that a company may, as Omega has done with the Speedmaster, offered a reboot of a vintage version of a current production model. Avoid these; the real thing would be far preferable. And as always, do remember that you must, if collecting vintage, sooner or later find one of those rarest of beasts: a competent and honest independent watchmaker, who are nearly as rare as knowledgeable and realistic clients for them.

Bueno, ¿ qué puedo decir de los relojes vintage ? Son mi locura y pasión. Estas reediciones están muy guapas. El que has encargado se ve precioso. saludos
